Healthy frozen, raw, and dry dog food options

Frozen, raw, and dry dog food options

Finding the right dog food can be tough.  There are dry foods, canned foods, raw foods, dehydrated, and more. There are countless brands and new brands emerging all the time.  How can one sort out this wild jumble of information?

I am a Professional Pet Stylist and have worked in the pet industry since 2003.  I admire the work of Dr. Becker.  She is down to earth and really thoughtful.  I think that she is extremely educated when it comes to pet nutrition.

Dr. Becker explains why feeding the same old dry pet food day after day can wreak havoc on a pet's body.  It is hard to find the "perfect pre-made pet food".  That is why it is good to know what to look for in pet foods.

I have a few key ideas that will kelp you choose the right food forever and not just right now.

Pick your protein source, avoid this word: by-products (these are parts of the animals that are normally not eaten), fillers, and artificial ingredients. Look for high-quality ingredients with real whole foods.  Look for "human grade" on the bag or label. Look at all of the ingredients and read reviews if possible.

Rotating your pet's diet should start at an early age or be adopted gradually.

Below are some healthy frozen, raw, and dry pet food options

Tylee's Human-Grade Beef Recipe Frozen Dog Food, 6-lb bag

I will explain why I chose each of these items.  Frozen dog food is beneficial because it preserves the full nutritional value of the food.  It does not have all the preservatives that dry dog food can have.  The above version is cooked and poses less risk than raw frozen dog foods can.  I chose Tylee's human-grade beef recipe because it contains an amazing ingredient profile and is highly rated by pet parents like you.

Beef Heart, Ground Beef, Water (Sufficient For Processing), Beef Liver, Spinach, Broccoli, Zucchini, Sweet Potato, Mangos, Tricalcium Phosphate, Chia Seeds, Sunflower Oil, Ground Flaxseed, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Cod Liver Oil Powder, Dried Parsley, Ground Cinnamon, Dried Kelp, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Rosemary Extract, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate.

Feeding your own homemade raw food is not always beneficial and can be detrimental to older pets, puppies, and pets with compromised immune systems.

Store-bought raw meat can cause illness if it is not handled properly.  Raw meat that is designed for a dog may be the best choice.  However, it can be a very healthy choice for pets and encourage the diet of their ancestors.

This particular food is cold pressurized which greatly increases the safety of this product.  I chose this product because of these amazing ingredients and high customer reviews.

Lamb, Lamb Kidney, Lamb Spleen, Lamb Liver, Apples, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Butternut Squash, Montmorillonite Clay, Tricalcium Phosphate, Ground Flaxseed, Salmon Oil, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin D3 Supplement), Choline Chloride, Minerals (Zinc Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Calcium Iodate), Blueberries, Spinach.
